Batch 28 comes to us with a 10 year age statement on it.
A blend of Bourbons 10 and 11 years old from Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. Bottled in Kentucky at cask strength (108.86 proof). Comprised of three distinct sub groups of barrels this is a complete Bourbon that yet again showcases Barrell's blending prowess.
The first group was a set of barrels that was particular aromatic featuring zesty citrus, tropical fruits, and exotic spices. The second batch brings the richness - a clutch of barrels possessing full mid palates and an almond like sweetness. The third set of barrels was peppery and tannic delivering a savory, woodsy note. Barrell is on a roll and batch after batch of their flagship release gets better and better.
A hard thing to do when starting from such a high quality to begin with.
