"Susucaru Rosato is Frank Cornelissen’s wildly food-friendly Etna rosato that drinks like a light red. It comes from the northern valley of Mount Etna, where old vines and black volcanic soils give naturally bright fruit, savory lift, and a salty, stony edge that feels unmistakably Sicilian. The 2024 is a blend of local grapes (Malvasia and Moscadella for florals, Catarratto/Insolia for snap and citrusy tension, plus Nerello Mascalese for structure and red-fruited depth). Cornelissen vinifies it like his other wines, with a gentle, low-intervention approach that favors texture and place over polish.
