Two James 28 Island Vodka is crafted at the first licensed distillery in Detroit since prohibition. The Two James Distillery was founded in 2012 by David Landrum and Peter Bailey in Corktown, Detroit’s oldest neighborhood.
28 Island Vodka is made from a blend of 70 percent corn and 30 percent soft winter wheat. Two James is small batch distilled in a 500 gallon copper pot still. The aroma is sweet corn, and fresh baked whole wheat bread, with ginger and a subtle berry backing.
The sweet corn entry has a soft mouth feel and is balanced by fresh creamy wheat flavor. Bright raspberry flavor arrives at the midpoint before fading with malted wheat flavor. The finish is warm and semi dry with spicy ginger and cardamom flavor, mineral and charcoal texture, and a crisp peppery sting.
Made in Detroit Michigan.
