The most intense offering in this group is the dry non-vintage Rare Amontillado Escuadrilla Solera Reserva. There is definitely some serious age on this solera. An amber color is followed by notes of nuts, salty sea breezes, sea weed and dried pit fruits.
It is difficult to describe the glories of sherry. These Solera Reservas are all great reference points at a low price point from Lustau.
The Rare Amontillado "Escuadrilla" features a deep golden color and is rich, subtle and dry on the palate. This is a fine and elegant solera Amontillado Sherry that is smooth and satisfying. Ideally, the wine should be served slightly chilled in a copita or white wine glass. It makes a fine warming aperitif and pairs well with nuts, meats and richly flavored seafood dishes
